Course on the SOUND method for musicians, volunteers, social workers and health professionals working in the dementia sector (psychologists, sociologists, neurologists, educators). The course lasts 22 hours: 10 hours of online lessons and 12 in person on 16 and 17 June 2023 at the INRCA Auditorium (Montagnola geriatric hospital). Healthcare professionals will be able to receive ECM certification. All the others will receive a certificate of participation. The SOUND method is based on active and passive musical activities performed in a circle. Participants will explore in particular how to work well within their staff also through the use of music; the elements of the SOUND method and the functions of the staff for its application; how to set goals and what activities to carry out to achieve them; how to monitor and measure the effect of the method on elderly people with dementia, family caregivers and operators. The group, divided into subgroups, will draw up proposals for activities to be offered to elderly people with dementia.
